If you have a trigger that breaks or other gun malfunction, how long do you have to throw another in?

If your backup gun is close are you permitted to use it?

5 minutes either way to repair or grab backup gun and return to line

The ATA rules no longer include any specific time restriction for repairing/replacing a broken firearm.

Usually your squad mates will allow you the necessary time to repair a trigger or to retrieve a spare gun providing it doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes. Think to yourself, how long would you give a fellow trapshooter to get his gun up and running?
