Its not just station in life its trying to relive a youthful dream. Where I live we have a corvette club with over 600 members. And weekly, the local Chevy dealer has lots of almost new vettes for sale with under 1000 miles. All I can say if I was back in school with my current assets I would have ruled the world--getting old SUX--it a shame youth is wasted on those who can't appreciate it

As a successful 75+ year old, and the owner of a Corvette, I fail to understand your point.
Except for the part about having the income you enjoy today back 40 years ago, which is like saying if only money grew on trees.

Bottom line, I believe we shoot guns we (think) we can afford. No more, no less.

Is the weight of his gun due to his station in life?

union strong, What does the weight of the gun have to do with the price. or the owners position in life?
