For you Hull guys. What have you found is the best way to ship empties? I'm helping my pal clean out the reloading room and there are 5000 plus hulls he asked me to sell. They are once fired late 70's early 80's CF WW, Rem Premiers, and some good old Fed papers.

I know what they are going for but I want to use the least expensive shipping so the cost per case doesn't make them too expensive. Please PM me with what you have found to be the best way for both me AND the buyer.

I am going to list them and add that if they are close enough to me they can pick them up or I can drive a short way to meet them..

    Thanks

I just sold 1000 28 ga hulls with a shipping weight of 15.5 lbs and used Fed-Ex.Just packed them in a sturdy box and padded as to not rattle. Easy as could be.
Good luck-Cost me approx $20 NE to Fla.

I found that if you ship don’t use plastic bins
Fed ex will charge you more to ship in that type
of container Solid car-board box is best !
    Hope this helps ! Billy

I always had the best rates using an account and shipping them FedEx ground with a preprinted label.

When I ship I use UPS, have gotten quotes from fedex and po. Po is the worst, Fed Ex is better, but for me UPS is consistent on price. Best to ship smallest box you can. 1000 to 1500 hulls work for me. Hope you get a couple pms to.

I've shipped a couple hundred thousand hulls. I use this box.
1000 to a box. Charge $100 per box shipped. You will come out ahead and the folks will be happy. FX or UPS.Both similar cost

PM me FAB with questions or on the thread.

    Thanks Guys
Found another black trash bag with 1000 Rem Green Premiers in it.
Took me 2 days to sort and count all the hulls and wads.

It was a little easier when I used the electronic postal scale. I counted 105 hulls, put them in a bag a weighed them. Did this 3 times and the count was 103 to 105 so I know there are 100+ in each bag.

Once I get everything recorded, I'll list them.

The box I use is 40x8x8 and commercially available. About $3 per box in a stack of 25. 1000 fits perfectly without counting. Charge $70 for hulls and pay the FX or UPS. All up, $100

I just shipped 40 lbs of hulls (2,000) in a wad box-fits nice. FEDEX charge was just under $40.
