Inspirational Maddie SCTP to Paralympics adding another challenge - PICTURES

Last year I met a shooter named Maddie. (We do not give out last names of youth here) Maddie used a prosthetic device. She was born missing the lower part of her left arm. I didn't make much of a fuss over Maddie.

This year she tossed the prosthesis. You can't compete in the Paralympics with prosthetic device Maddie explained. "I want to compete in the Paralympics. You don't get to use those. So, I have to learn to deal with shooting with what I have."


Maddie is pictured above standing with her very proud and supportive father. She shoots for the Muskego Warriors, near Milwaukee, WI.

Maddie teammates say she is the spirit of the team. One teammate laughed and said she has a little more energy than the rest of the team.

Maddie is a competitor. Her form is the same shot to shot. She can grind 'em up.

She has a twin sister. They were Monochorionic twins. And they are identical. Fortunately the Dr. that is the specialist in the field lived nearby.



I stayed an extra day to take Maddie's photos. It was worth the wait. I hope all our readers get to meet her.
