Quite a contrast to some I have seen over the years...

Our first trip there in 2010 told us that Mr. Fishburn ran a first rate place, just by the help we saw, and the facility in general.

And there is the Farmstead Restaurant in the background...

That is very true, sometimes plans change with Doctors appointments and such, a shoot was never and will never be more important than follow ups on my wives breast cancer ... I'll give you that one LEFTY, by the way were you there ..? If not why not ..? (TOUCHE) WPT ... (YAC) ...

Personally, I do not have a problem with Big Don, he is set in his ways and his delivery is a little abrupt (ruff) but he means no harm ... In any contest there is one winner, some days your the bug, some days your the windshield, so the story goes ... Both of the contestants stood up and shot for a good cause that day, not many others can say they did ... I respect both of them for taking part ... The Hype and build up was better than the actual shoot off ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

I had to stop and consider the word "genuflect". Is that really a word I wondered.

1. Genuflect lower one's body briefly by bending one knee to the ground, typically in worship or as a sign of respect.

2. to wonder WTF happened?

I am thinking it was more like #2. 10 to one odds...not much respect given in the "genuflection". jmho

Flyer BOY? Adding the word "boy" is typical of those "we shoot registered targets and you don't" Kool-Aid drinkers from that other old site. When they can't answer a question they like to play with a sign on name. IMO that isn't the only thing they play with.

Go back and ask one of the 6 or 7 stooges if they can come up with something better. Your attempt pretty much sucked. I'm sure if one of them answers you will see all the "thank you's" that they just can't wait to add.

Ya gotta love it when someone that is a regular poster on the " we love sparta" site drops by to say hello.

Now that you have apologized, and dodged the question, take a whack at answering it.

AND, to use the word "again" means I was wrong once before. Tell me, when was the other time.

 

While I can appreciate those that say "the ATA is going the way of the Dodo bird" or "I won't go to Sparta or any ATA shoot because the targets are too easy", I can't get behind the people that are not going to the shoots that are in their neighborhood (especially the Cardinal). Why would you boycott the support of the club you seem to be worshiping?? You say that REAL men shoot 45 degree angles and 52 yard targets? Why do they not shoot those at the clubs you seem to immortalize? Why can you not seem to find a club that supports your idea of the REAL target? You can ban me if you want, I don't care. I come here to learn and be taught. So far I have been taught to hate the ATA and everyone that supports them. I thought this was the site that those that really want to keep trapshooting alive were posting? Please tell me that is what you really want.

 

OK I will bite on that hook. Who is boycotting the CC that is in the area of the CC? Name one or two.

I personally do not know of anyone that is not shooting at the CC or Sparta because of the target settings. Do you?I do not believe you when you say you have learned to hate the ATA on this site. I do not hate the ATA, but I hold in disgust those in charge that are self servers, and are using the ATA funds as their private piggy bank. The ones that put the organization in peril to further their own wants and desires. Target setting while important to the sport is minor compared to the damage that has been done to the checks and balances that should be in place to protect the well being of the organization. I do not know how long you have been around trap shooting, but the members have lost the right to control the direction of the organization.

You use the word hate, do you you mean upset with the ATA. I have never seen anyone on here say they hated the ATA, Please refer to the post you are relating to. Roger C.

If you count the thousands that no longer shoot since the target settings broke the handicap system then he may have a point. Much of registered shooting now is organized practice.

 

I used "hate" in this post .... if you know the person, you know why that word fits my "feelings" ....

 

It is supposedly not possible to elevate a shooter to the 27 yd. line in any other way than by earning the move. Are you saying He was moved otherwise? Hate is a very strong word. It also diminishes the stature of the user. Roger C.

 

Years ago I heard where yardage punches were sent by mail. I never talked with anyone who got one so whether anyone was assigned to the 27 or even if it's true.

Also, someone on this or the other site was talking about Money punches.
