Is it a penalty or not - Notificaton being a member of another shooting organization.

Does the word "may" leave a bit of ambiguity here?

Failure to notify the shoot handicap committee of another ATA recognized trapshooting association card may be cause for penalty action resulting in forfeiture of entry fees and all monies, including prizes, and possible suspension from all ATA shoots for one year.

 

Why don't they make it really clear and add "at the discretion of" the committee.

 

Huh? That would be clear? Tell me Columbus how that makes it clear whether you will be penalized.

 

Ahh, ya missed my point. It wouldn't - nor does that language result in accurate classification decisions (but it's there).
