You want money in the shoots?

Has anyone noticed the blue collar shooters are the only people playing the money. You don't believe me. Go to the Cardinal Center the first 3 days of a 5 day shoot. Look at the amount of money played.

How can that be if the lot is full of $80k rvs? Because those are the trinket shooters. When the weekend comes and a few blue collars show up then the money is played.

So tell me. Why did the ATA chase the blue collar shooters away?

How did the ATA or anyone else chase them away? And who are the blue collar workers anyway?

The blue collar shooters don't travel far. The shooters in PA, OH, MI are mostly blue collar shooters. Thousands. They don't go to the grand. If they don't want to register to shoot there then why register.

So your saying it's just the local shooters playing the money? I agree the money is down because fewer are playing but what does the ATA have to do with it? All options are paid out the same way.

Who said that? The blue collar shooters quit shooting registered targets.

I can't tell what group I'm in. Can someone define "blue collar".

Can you take 4 or 5 days off to shoot regularly?

Sure, can go any time. That's what being retired is like. So what am I, blue collar or what?

Vandalia used to fill up on the weekends. The steel mill workers, auto workers etc from OH and PA played the money because they needed to win to stay in the game. You move the big shoot to a place that takes a days travel each way and this is the result. You see some big crowds on the weekends at OH and PA but not like before the move.

The big shoot is now cut in half. You know it isn't the economy.

grappy, It is the result of 20+ years of mismanagement by the leaders of the ATA. not only by the EC but also by the BOD. Rampant mismanagement can ruin any business if given enough time, and they have had the time. Roger C.

The ridiculous reductions took a lot of money out of the game.

Under-handicapped pros and money punches finished option playing. Now we're left with a bunch of social shooters partying in their campers and competing for trinkets. The money shooters go to the casinos where the odds of winning seem better.

targetbreaker if it goirs bang I probley shot it.

Well I think it is the way opt's are in the programs now, there used to be class purse paid 50 30 20 on every 16's and DBL:S some paid 60 40 event, yardage opts was for your group,18-20, 21-22, 23-24, 25-27 they shot for their on moneys. even lewis was split some times, the ford opt, and others that folks would play.
This put folks in there on the weekend that they have time off work to shoot to play them.
Now most are set up for the top gun in the country to have a big pay week, and most do!
