When I bought this gun the finish did not look too good, so I had it re-blued by somebody that knows what they are doing. It is not purple, it is not speckled, it is a deep dark blue. I had it re-blued because I did not buy it for a collector, I bought it for a shooter. I have only shot a couple of boxes through it, none since I had it re-blued. It has a new pad. I think the serial number dates it back to 1973. I have too many guns to shoot. On the grip on the left hand side there is a kind of scratch and on the right side there is a glare in the picture.
