U. S. Open Trapshoot to Brittany Park?

You heard it here. This is a possibility. It was discussed last year.

 

The US Open is not on IDNR schedule.

 

Brittany is a beautiful place to shoot. WSRC is an overkill bore for that little shoot.

 

Just because the U.S. Open has not been approved does not mean it will not be approved by the WSRC. This quote from the WSRC page:

The World Shooting and Recreational Complex is currently working with organized groups to utilize the shooting aspect of the facility. At this time, only organized groups that have signed an agreement with the WSRC will be able to shoot. If you are interested in hosting an organized event, whether it have a shooting component or not, please contact our main office. Please call (618)295-2700, Monday-Friday, from 8:00a – 4:00p. As events are approved, they will be listed on our website calendar. Thank you all for your continued support of the WSRC.

The WSRC is a State of Illinois owned and operated facility that loses money every time they open the door of said facility, which by the way has added to the States deficit on an annual basis for the past 11 years (since the WSRC opened ) so the Statement you posted which is out dated, is out dated ... The fact that the notification has not been changed, altered, or modified means nothing ... If someone a, anyone come up with enough money the State will probably make the facility available at least for the mean time ... The grand was held there and to the best of any ones knowledge the numbers have no been posted probably because they are so pathetic ... Brittany Park can make it on a shoot that does not get over run with shooters, the WSRC can't ... It costs a lot of money to own, operate, a facility the size of the WSRC, that means a lot of business or its not worth the bother ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
