What I really like about this title and pic is that none of the "those days are over, move on" or "get over it" crowd can say crap about it. This was before any of us was alive. Well, maybe one guy was there. Broken target is on the right side of the pic. NO smoke there boys. Them were the days. Flyersarebest
I absolutely LOVE that nostalgic early trapshooting stuff. Back then I believe trapshooting lead the sports news like the NFL does today. Then baseball caught on and it was baseball and trapshooting. -Gary
I think that is Dave Berlet just to the right of the scorer, Back before he started shooting for food. Brad
Now Brad! Clearly you are attempting to get David's dander up with your insensitive comment. Anyone that has ever shot with Dave will tell you the guy to the right of the scorer is NOT David. However, if you look very closely in the beer tent on the left of the photo I believe that IS Dave chatting up the lady in the white dress. This photo must have been taken before Dave got married. Don
The picture on this post was taken even before the days that Hudepohl beer was proudly served in the beer stand. Actually I don't remember the name of the lovely young lady that I was trying to persuade into buying me a beer. Hopefully I succeeded. Dave Berlet
THIS is what you call a tent full of Trap Shooters Hazard's Trap Powder Tent Brandle Tournament, Cincinnati, OH JULY 1897 I wonder what the "lock time" is on that hammer gun front row center. Have fun putting names to these guys. Flyersarebest PS. Before any of you eagle eyed guys starts pointing out left handed guns that were never produced, I flipped the pic so you could read the printing on the tent.
