Who enforces the new rule? Scorekeeper, shoot management?

 

They are in a way by being suspended or penalized by not being able to attend shoots there by losing targets or having them taken away in a round about way ... (So, there is a rule ) ...
The rules are probably broken or bent every day by someone, the out come probably does out weigh the fact that it was done and the shooter not called on it ... Trap shooters have always been self policing in most ways with extremes being filed for actions by others (BOD/EC) ... The Majority of Shooters "INTEGRITY" means more to them than stealing a win and a few dollars ( I HOPE) ... You would have to be more precise about your statement Gary (DLS) and more detailed of how and why ... Chicken shit has no place on a trap field ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

Would just being penalized targets be better than a suspension, Suspensions should be for OUTRIGHT Cheating, Drastic Safety Violations, a one time thing that Dave Schaffer susposedly did banging his gun Butt Plate on the ground cost him 2 targets? The action taken was TOO SEVERE in my personal opinion. That action should be reversed immeaditly.

I agree with you in theory but most of what you mentioned (drastic safety violations ) is something that seldom (for me personally ) happens, taking into account the safety record over the years as a example ... Cheating, that's grounds for a long time in the penalty box, and repeat offenders should be dismissed permanently, no questions asked or answered ... We can over play the rules game and make this game that we love a Royal American Pain in the AZZ ... I agree with you on Dave's suspension but our opinion will not get it changed, no matter how we rally for it ... I watch new shooters intently, give advice or try to help them learn if they by chance make a mistake, problem with it when dealing with shotguns you do not get do overs if something tragic happens ...
