shooting glasses

a long time ago i bought a set of sun buster shooting glasses from LL bean the frames broke and bean doesnt carry them any more does anybody know if any other frames fit these glasses.

I don't know the answer #13plumber but they probably don't. I say "probably" because I have tried to interchange other brands of lenses and frames.

Was the original Bean frame/lens set the type that you COULD change the lenses with a different color? If so you at least have a start. Take the lenses with you to your club and ask some of the guys if you could compare sizes of the lenses.

DON'T TRY TO POP THEM INTO SOMEONES FRAMES! Just ask if they would mind taking one of their lenses (they more than likely have at least one other set) and set your lens above or below theirs and see what the profile is.

Then you can contact the company that made the frame and see what it would cost to buy just that.

I have feeling that a new set of glasses with extra lenses are in your future. Good Luck.

The pic is of a set of LL Bean glasses you can see on the big auction site. You know which one. Check it out, the price is probably what you would have to pay for just the frames for your lenses, IF you could find them

 

LLB used to carry Zeiss. They were not interchangeable for anything but Zeiss.
