I hope I'm not violating any rules here and if I am please remove this and admin has my apologies in advance. I also didn't know where to put this but here it goes. Mr. Don Karlen sold me a Beretta 682 Gold that was for sale on here for a very long time. Mr. Karlen's claim was that this is a gun that was owned by Mr. Tom Wilkinson himself. THAT CLAIM IS TRUE! I want to try to clear up any doubt. I called Mr. Wilkinson myself after purchasing the 682 from Mr. Karlen (I was interested even if Mr. Wilkinson did not do the barrels). At first he said he stamps every barrel he does but after I described it to him including the special rib he installed he acknowledged the gun as being his personal gun that he shot very well. He said he apparently didn't stamp his own gun. I saw the initial conflict and doubt that was expressed to Mr. Karlen about the authenticity so I want to try and clear up any doubt. I didn't think to ask but I will likely see if Mr. Wilkinson will stamp the barrel if I send it to him. Thanks and Happy shooting to all. Sorry for the long post.
I had my O/U barrels back bored, choked and barrels bent to shoot about 100% high by Mr. Wilkinson back in the 1990s. He did not stamp the barrels but I had a certificate showing the work done. I don't know why he didn't stamp my barrels but I've had a few people tell me that he didn't stamp barrels that were ported. HB
I don’t know. I might ask him to stamp mine if I send them to him. Mine are ported but he did the porting far as I know.
Hey Reyper, Some years back, didn't you buy a PFS (and painted it) as a surprise for your son? Or do I have the wrong Rey?
