Cardinal Campground is open, I’m going. If they shut down the Ohio State Shoot I guess I will shoot sporting clays during the day and grill steaks and drink a few brews at night. Not much different then I was planning to do anyway. Don’t need to drive to Minnesota to watch a$$hats burning and looting a city, I can see all that in Columbus too. Maybe I will take along a few of those evil “assault weapons” just in case a few thugs decide to pay a visit to the Cardinal. Someone needs to remind them that not all law abiding citizens are unarmed or defenseless.
Don, Do not forget to call pull, before shooting. Other wise it is a no target, and you must do over. Roger C.
I told Gene S. that story today! Pick a day, any day will do. Problem solved. I sure do miss Grandpa Dale!
Rode by Dayton around 3 pm today and the streets were shoulder to shoulder with people, cop cars every where with their lights on. Have to watch the Dayton news this evening.
Section 9D allows indoor miniature golf as long as social distancing guidelines are followed. Regular golf courses remain open. On the trap field we stand 9 feet apart. That seems adequate to me. We will spend less time registering and paying than I spent yesterday inside at Applebee’s. It would seem to me that the shooting sports are custom made for social distancing.
Recreational trap shooting is what we do at home behind the barn. Competitive is what we do at Cardinal Center, I haven't seen restrictions for competitive. Any good attorney could prove the difference! DaveB
"Limits on private gatherings — barring meet-ups of 10 or more people — are still prohibited in Ohio, though wedding receptions can move forward (with a maximum guest list of 300 people). Religious gatherings are also not impacted by this rule" Well, the fees ARE going to the ata . Some of the big shots running it seemed to feel they were the Almighty, maybe that will work.
Just had a phone call from a friend who works Columbus. He said that the OSTA will be informed that the shoot at Cardinal is in violation of the health order and cannot be held. This person said that it violates 3 areas of the Health order that is in effect. Area 1 is no recreational or organized tournaments can be held at this time. Area 2 no gatherings or organized gatherings of more than 10 can be and are 3 was no mass gatherings can be held and that all 3 of theses will not be lifted by the scheduled date of the State Shoot. Just some food for thought.
I'd think the law will be to busy in downtown Columbus with the rioters to worry about some trap shooting out in the sticks.
How messed up are we in this country when it is okay to gather at night to burn down police departments, rob, loot and destroy businesses, burn down the Post Office, assault police and National Guardsmen, set fire to police cars and spray paint profanity on anything in sight but it’s not okay for law abiding citizens to gather and inject tens of thousands of dollars into the economy by attending a trap shoot? Maybe it would be okay if we all wore our pants halfway down our ass as that seems to be dress code for the rioters.
They held a big horse show in Fairfield County yesterday. Lots of competitors and prizes were awarded. Sounds like an organized competition to me.
5/31/20 Pittsburgh police ID suspect who allegedly incited violence during Saturday’s protest This 20 year old "kid" was the one that started the burning of the police car which led to the amped up violence and the torching of that car. He didn't do it all himself but he started it. The video shows a protester telling him not to do anything. He flips her off and decides to show everyone what a tough guy he is. He smashes out the window of the car and that prompted the rest of the morons that were just looking for an excuse. This dipstick was too stupid to think about the hundreds of people with cell phone cameras? I can just hear him bragging to his buddies. " Dude, You should have seen what I did. Guess what numbnuts? EVERYONE saw what you did, and they took pictures! Dumb as a box of rocks. There's another great example of our educational system. I wonder if his parents think that extra $500.00 stimulus check they got for having him at home was worth it. Google the video and you can see that his "uniform" was a Black hoody and a pair of Black cargo pants pulled all the way up. He lives in a nice neighborhood in the suburbs and I doubt his parents knew what this little SOB was up to. He wasn't home when the local cops and the FBI came knocking but it won't take long to track his ass down. To the other mods and administrators. You don't have to worry about the picture. It's all over the news and out there for the public to see. I left out the name but if anyone wants to read about this idiot they can search by using, Pittsburgh Police Identify Suspect in Riot.
