Mississippi boycotts PA - Impacts hits PA State Shoot!

Thus far no Mississippians have made the trek to the PA shoot. Not surprising. Chalk that up to the Dawg and his pals. jmho.

It was not long ago that a Mississippi delegate brought to the floor new easy yardage rules. The group of "no shooters" states banded together to create the easy yardage rules since they could not find enough shooters to earn handicap yardage quickly.

The idea was that this would create more shooters in MS. Those shooters would travel to other states. The problems of the ATA would be cured. Easy yardage = more Mississippi shooters.

PA can only pray Mississippi will rescind the boycott and show up for the big weekend.

 

I wonder if this boycott will be extended to the Ohio State Shoot next week? Brad

I doubt we ever had a MS visitor but neither do we like cheap yardage. I suppose the feeling's mutual.

 

The last 6 events were the highest since 2010 despite the Mississippi boycott. Great marketing on PA's part but who knows what could have happened if the shoot was a little friendlier to State's wanting easy yardage.

 

Why would they boycott over yardage rules. Dang, you can go all the way back to the 25 by just calling ATA. Seems pointless to me.

 

As much as this forum talks about the PA shoot it should be packed without the Sippy guys.
