I just started having trouble with my Kolar firing the second shot on doubles. With a shoot coming up this week end I was wondering if there is anything I should look for or just wait till the end of the month when the gunsmiths will be at the Cardinal Center.
So it's not firing the second shot? Will it fire that barrel if fired first? Check the firing pin it's not hard to do.
It's an unsingle combo so I fire the top barrel first on doubles. When I use the unsingle barrel I've never had a problem.
good advice, check to see if both hammers are cocking, put 2 dummie shells, or empties and fire the first bbl of doubles, then try the other bbl if you have mechanical triggers, if not bump the recoil pad on floor and see if it fires, inertia block may need a drop of oil, is inertia block free, you will have to remove the stock to check this, blow out the innards w/stock off.very lightly oil the innards, reassemble and try it. If it does not work check the cocking rods to see if they are free No worky call Kolar GB...........................DLS
Bob if you determine it is a trigger problem I have one you can use over the weekend call me at 614 746-6229 John Wise
I have the same problem.....fan firing!! Shot doubles today at the Great Lakes Grand and had 5 fan fires in 50 pair. Will let Kolar work on it at the Ohio State Shoot......very aggravating.
Are all of these newer Kolar’s. Was wondering because my shooting partners new one had to be sent back because of fan fire.
John Harden from Indiana Gun Club will be at the Buckeye Classic- he knows Kolar’s in and out. You’ll find him in the second vendor building, first up East end. He fixed mine.
