Beware dealing with this company. I bought a used 870 competition from them they advertised as near mint . When received on Saturday, upon taking out of the box found the rib was loose on the barrel and the barrel itself was frozen in the receiver. Not wanting to damage the gun any further, I called to tell them that I was going to send it back for a refund. They said the issue I was having was not mechanical therefore could not be returned for a refund. They suggested I take it to a gunsmith to see if they could free up the barrel. I told them this was not my problem, should be theirs because they sold a defective gun . Anyway, called my credit card company and filed a dispute against them for selling a defective product. Last time I will deal with this company.
They're a bit of a strange site. "Certified Used" is guns they're selling themselves, but the "Outlet" guns are ones they don't have but are a listing for another dealer, hence why they probably want to make it as difficult as possible to return. I suspect it was one of the latter you had an issue with. Although I would say a non-removable barrel would pretty clearly be a mechanical issue. I have read on the forums that people have had pretty good luck selling guns to them.
Had two people look at it. Both agreed it was mechanical. One was a local gunsmith and the other a ballistics expert from PA State Police. Both agreed that a gun can have mechanical issues and still fire . Both were surprised they would sell a gun in its condition and certainly not as near mint . Still waiting to hear from credit card company. Might end up parting it out . Pretty wood . Anton I believe with cast off for right hand shooter . Better yet , take it to some shoots with a sign $10 a pop if you can pull the barrel out of the receiver it's yours. Lol
I'll bet it's just held together with carbon buildup/fouling and can be disassembled with a little elbow grease. Take the mag cap off and hose the inside of the mag down with some oil, put it in a corner on a piece of plastic muzzle down overnight. Might try getting some b/w the receiver and barrel tang as well. Worse case you could use a long piece of threaded rod, some washers and nuts, and a piece of 3" dia rod with a hole drilled in the middle, and make a super long slide hammer to pull the barrel off the receiver, that'd pop it right off. I'll bet it's not THAT stuck once you get it started.
Just posting to let people my experience with guns dot com. . Do your research know what you are are getting into. Had I known that they sell used guns via third party that they never seen I wouldn't have bought from them. Return policy is at their discretion. If you do buy make sure you inspect your purchase before taking possession of the firearm. My point is you work hard for your money and should get what you paid for. I was looking for an 870 competition in near mint condition no more no less .
