Just way too many coyotes around my house, plus they're stressing out the deer population. Hardly a day goes by that i do not see the yotes in the field following the deer. We have audio and visual detectors on the house and some about 100 yards away that are connected to our cell and desk top computers that record and even give me live videos. The video ones are wireless servers made by Arlo. Here are 3 set of yote tracks about 30 yards from house. The other pic was taken by my trail camera about 80 yards from house.
I hear you. I have seen them chase the deer from my yard three times this year. They walk right down the sidewalk and patio. The good thing is there are not as many rabbits chewing on the bushes and shrubs this year. I seen a doe that had a broken leg at the joint. She must have broke through the hard crust snow at one point drifted on the tree line next to the house. She can't walk on it at all. I doubt she makes it through the winter with these yotes chasing her around. Still some standing corn in the field to the east of the house. I would bet they are in there during the day. Probably easy to call them out back at the corner of the woods.
I run my dog early in the morning (5/5:30) and usually always see a few Coyotes being as I live across the street for a gold course where they hang out to harvest the rabbits and Jacks ... I used to walk the dog on the gold course and have shot (warning) at a few coyotes to run them off ... They are getting to be over populated in this area so sooner or later many will be eliminated by one means or another ... Its also not uncommon to see Javelina (sp) and an occasional Bob Cat ... We are living pretty much in their back yard so to some degree they belong and we do not but we got the guns ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Here in Northeast Ohio were over run with them. I've caught seven so far this winter. Put corn out and finally seeing the deer come back into the area!
