Full set of Rhino Stingers subgauges tubes.

These fit 12 gauge break action shotguns (over under, side by side, and single shot), and will allow you to shoot 20 gauge, 28 gauge, and 410 bore (for target loads, Remington STS or Winchester AA are recommended). If your gun has inertia triggers, you may need to have a trigger conversion performed by a gunsmith before the triggers will reset reliably.

15 5/8" overall length, with an extractor throw is 15/32". These are threaded for screw-in choke tubes, and each set includes a pair of skeet chokes and a pair of light modified chokes. Includes extra o-rings, case, instructions, installation tool, removal tool, and grease, all housed in a nice hard case.

This set has been VERY lightly used, and is in excellent condition. Last retail price for these was over $1k!

    From Rhino:

This is an old concept with a new twist! Conventional full length tubes were too heavy and changed the balance of a well balanced over/under. To maintain that critical balance, we designed our 15” Stinger sub-gauge tubes. Our twist was to add Multi-choke to them to get better performance in Sporting Clays, Skeet and Field Shooting. In regards to other short insert tubes in the industry, we found that through months of testing and thousands of rounds fired - a 15” tube was necessary to have adequate powder burn to achieve proper velocity and energy to be able to break targets properly. We also use a double-footed extractor system which ensures perfect extraction.

Stingers are available in all three gauges; 20, 28 and 410. Each individual Stinger tube is multi-choked and comes with two chokes, 1 SK and 1 LTM. That means your two Stinger set- 20 (or 28 or 410) will have a total of 4 chokes, 12 chokes for all three gauges. After patterning and testing them, we feel that only two constrictions of chokes were necessary to accomplish patterns that will break targets at the required yardage. The SK will break targets from 5-35 yards using #8 and # 7 1/2. The LTM will break targets exceptionally well from 30-55 yards. We also found that the patterns don’t open up for quite some time after exiting the barrel. This means the choke at the end of the gun is there only to protect the threads of the barrel, not to control the pattern.

The 3 gauge set of Stingers includes 2 multi-choked inserts each, 20, 28, 410ga. with their chokes, an insertion tool, (so that you do not have to use your hand). To accommodate each gauge 20, 28 and 410 gauges. Rhino Lube is included with a package of O-rings. The extraction tool doubles as a full length cleaning rod made of 6061 T6 aluminum. This ram rod is a 2-piece rod with T-handle. The rod has a plastic bumper that is screwed into the end of the rod to be used as a push bumper to remove the Stingers from your barrel. A 12-gauge bore brush and swab also comes with the accessories above.

The Stingers have been designed to allow you to use them in virtually any over/under or Side-by-Side you may own. The reason for this is our Stinger has an O-ring system in the front of the tube that allows you to use an O-ring in the front setting or the rear setting, depending on the dimensions of your 12 ga bore. Extra O-rings are provided to allow you to perform this very easy task. For instance: a Beretta 682 EELL will use the thin, brown O-ring in the rear setting for the O-ring. For a Krieghoff over/under at a 735 bore will also use the rear setting with a heavy O-ring. For a Browning 425 which has a bore of 742- 745 you will use the heavy O-ring, which is black, in the front setting. The reason for using the O-rings is to securely hold the tube in the barrel and also to perfectly align the Stinger in the center of your barrel, therefore the Point of Impact of the Stingers are the same as your barrel. The tube weighs approx. 6 oz so they will not change the balance of your gun, The system will allow you to shoot 2 1/2 or 3” .410 shells, and this is true only in the .410 set.

We recommend using only Factory Remington STS or Winchester AA.
