DATA MINING?

    We have been getting some pms asking if we data mine. For those that do not know what this is--- it is collecting info about you and selling it to other people or organizations.

    We do not use any more cookies than necessary to operate the site.

    We do not data mine.

    We acknowledge that some of the site competitors do this but we are only interested in your opinions.

    I like the site does not have the pop up ads and the advertising banners.

    Any company that continuously buys forums in which they have no interest is likely to be in the data mining business. jmho

    WTF--I visit 2 other trapshooting related sites. I wont say their names but Norton gives me that warning "ATTACK" "Root Exploit Kit".

    Then I find out it is a type of malware installed intentionally on some sites.

    Is nothing sacred?

    I will say one partially. One starting with the word shotgun. I have been there. I had to run my anti-virus 3 times and reboot and then used the Norton power eraser.

    The other same problem. Still get pop ups after I leave.

    I wonder who buys the information.

    Buyers of this type of information is both pro gun and anti gun. They may claim that they are not anti gun but they sell your info to anti gun organizations. I consider this "Domestic terrorism"

    Samantic security says about "Root Exploit Kit"

    Severity: High This attack could pose a serious security threat. You should take immediate action to stop any damage or prevent further damage from happening.

    This is the only trapshooting site I know without pop ups and or the data mining crap. Will stay here!

    I have had several virus hits from the other site lately, none here ... Avast will not open certain threads and warns of the virus well in advance ... I have posted the warning over there but cannot find the posting so someone obviously don't want others to know of the problem ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
