I know that Bio targets will kill vegetation. My ?, is how do Bio targets affect trap machines, especially sporting machines that are subject to weather & are 12v powered

    Well,

You pull the batterie's when not in use.

    You cover the machine.

You keep the rubber on the throwing arm clean along with the drop plate.

    They smoke white

Use a compressor to blow machine off regularly.

What make are the machines? Do not let the dust from the targets get in you motors. The dust turns to sludge and will short out the motors especially in a humid area. Is it necessary to use bio targets? if not use pitch as they do not have an adverse affect on machines and are not classified as hazmat. Roger C.

Do you cover the machines when not in use? Are they on pads or sitting on the ground? Bio's are toxic to vegatation, and bare metal, if the dust lays on it and gets wet. Roger C. PS are you required to use bio's?

Is it best not to cover the machines? (if using Bio's)

There are aprox 150 machines the owner leases the machines, gets new ones ever 2 years, some are on towers, most are on the ground and most are uncovered--this includes crazy quail & five stand

I ask the question because I have a few machines on my farm and basically only use Bio's. I cover my machines but was thinking maybe the rain would be good to wash them off.

I guess if the owner Leases the machines, he won't care anyway.

This is a great operation 635 G is referring to when it comes to 5 Stand and Sporting Clays, but it sure needs help on the Trap and Skeet side of things.

3M, Best to remove the targets after shooting. If you are not in a dry area cover the machines, but not with somthing that will not trap the moister. The only machines that would not rust or corrode were the Superior traps. They were all powder coated and stainless steel. Roger C
