Any experience with Hi-Grade Shooter Supply in Youngwood, PA?

I tried purchasing a shotgun listed on consignment 3 weeks ago from Hi-Grade. I called to confirm my purchase and provide my credit card, etc. The woman on the line identified herself a Tracey and hared that the guys were at a show and the sale would be the following week. No issue there as I have to find 2 FFLs, the first took no action (AM Shooting, Damascus, MD). I checked in the following week and Tracey said the UPS was down. Ok. I called back the next week and Tracey said Covid ran through the workplace. Next call, their UPS system was down. I called a couple of days ago and requested a refund (card charged within 10 minutes first call weeks ago). She apologized and said she was New. "Laura", who I am anxious to speak to tomorrow, was not to be back until Monday Tracey said she could not process the refund because she was new working there. Tracey is listed under the BBB as being the owner since '69 and also had a complaint filed and posted there in JAN-23 from an individual who paid $3.1k for a Beretta and never received the the gun. Sounds like I am in for a similar ride. Anyone else?

 

Call your credit card company and talk to them. I'm sure that they will be able to help you.

 

Odd that if you in fact were dealing with the owner, she stated she didn't know how to do refunds. Smells alittle fishy, but not total scam.

 

Roy at Hi-Grade was a great guy to do business with. My understanding is financial woes hit that company hard. I'd avoid!

 

I had great success dealing with Roy. That was several years ago.

 

I bought a Citori from them about 8 years ago. Everything went great. Things must have changed.

I’ve bought stuff from Roy, at the Grand. Was always more than fair with me. Sorry to hear you’re having a problem. I don’t know the lady you’ve been dealing with so can’t say anything about her. Always had a large inventory of Perazzi’s and many other high end guns for sale.

 

Decades ago, I visited. I was impressed by the pallets of Perazzis in the showroom. My travelling companion bought a high grade Citori single.
