Shot trap for the first time in a long while. I hunt often but have not sat down and shot 3 boxes of shells in a row. By the third round of clays I had a goose egg on my cheek and it is still sore 3 days later. Question is??? Am I having to lean in too far to get a sight picture or is this normal after not shooting for awhile. If I am leaning in too far how best to adjust the lift. ---------------- This person has been using ip addresses from Nigeria. For now the posts from this username are discontinued.
Get the pitch checked and altered, it will take the face slap out of the gun ... If you "Google" it, you can find a video or instructions on how to measure the pitch and go from there ... The best pitch I have found is zero so the gun recoils straight back and does not give you a kiss on the cheek ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Your body has changed over the years. Check the height of the comb. It may be that you are shoving your head down to hard to obtain a sight picture. Roger C.
