Guy I haven’t been on much lately. Let my trapshooting slip for awhile. Did miss the chatter on here some. Can’t and don’t want to blame COVID but early on it was a bit of an issue. Was trap shooting weekly until bass season hit. Had been shooting some sporting clays about twice a month over the last few months. Only shooting I’ve been getting in. I have a serious addiction to bass fishing. This season has been a poor season for numbers of bass but I have gotten some nice quality bass. Have not broken my personal best this season but, I’m always fishing for that 7 lb’r., 7 lb. might not be shit to some of you guys where you live but here in PA that a very respectable bass. Have two young grandsons that like bass fishing and it’s fun to work with them. Sunday I’m shooting trap. Got to pull it together and get some rounds in. Hope I remember how to shoot and hold a gun. Should go ok. Hope I didn’t blow it to shoot winter league. Anything I missed maybe I can make up. Generally I don’t let fishing get in my way to shoot. But I guess this whole year has been a bit of a mess and off year with this COVID BS. Well anyway, sorry for being so long winded. I generally shoot more in the winter than summer anyway. I love punishing myself shooting when it’s 13 degrees out. I’m not that bright I guess. Good shooting, Spank.
Between you guys and Joe it looks like a fishing forum is needed. When I used to shoot on the Fla Chain on the days off most of the guys went fishing or played golf, I went hunting. I hunted hogs and turkeys, I used to fish a lot as a kid but haven't for years.
Double header on the Red River in Selkirk,MB July 2018. My wife with a 36 1/4" channel cat and me with a 38.5".
Last summer from community pond. Haven’t caught anything much less than 2lb. Used to think I was good at fishing......I could throw a straw wrapper and they would eat it.
This ain't a bass - but fishing with my best friend (wife) is what I am privileged to do. Too bad she won't bait her own hook. Trying to teach her to use artificials.
