My local dealers and club peddlers have stopped selling reloading supplies. Now it is an hour and a half drive for me to get decent prices. I don't want to buy in the quantities required to get prices that makes reloading economical. It's not the reloading that has become burdensome, it is buying components that has become burdensome. During the last powder shortage I learned how easy it is order ammo on-line and have it delivered, and at very good prices.
IF I get a Covid vaccination before next winter, I may journey near my regional supplier. I just checked his shotgun primer inventory. It looks like he has CCI, Federal, and Fiocchi, but purchases are limited to 1. Unclear whether that limit is one brick (1K) or one sleeve (5K).
I’d rather make the purchase for a few thousand all at one. 3000-5000 shells. While I’m good with having at least that much around, some guys will think that is nothing. I’m not into buying the Wally World 4 packs or just buying a flat of shells. No desire to run around and buy at a minimum.
