At the request of forum members, each week, we will feature a different state and their shooting venues.

My only experience in WI is Janesville. Fantastic place to shoot. Very cozy clubhouse.

Muscoda Sportsmen Club located about 70 miles west of Madison along the Wisconsin river. We have 6 houses, 2 lighted. We shoot from April thru October. We also host the states largest team shoot. The largest of which we had 90 5 person teams and this is done in one day 41157_428817163211_7034348_n.jpg 304552_10151067181163212_348960311_n.jpg 47808_427248823211_2152016_n.jpg 1392436_10151789702638212_890948090_n.jpg 546499_10151067182213212_1752471180_n.jpg

I did forget to mention that we have camping spots with water and electric. The club house is heated and has A/C with a kitchen which we serve at shoots. Wednesday nights we are open for practice. The team shoot is always on the Sunday before Labor Day. Check out our web site for more information http://www.muscodasportsmanclub.webs.com/

"Lime Green Targets" The club site says lime green targets. I have to get out more often. Haven't shot those.

Visited Sauk Prairie Trap & Skeet and North Bristol Sportsmans, in the greater Madison area. Both are very nice and welcoming to visitors.

Have a vacation home in the Northwoods of WI and am member at Cable Rod and Gun in Cable...another smaller but great and welcoming club.

Mod1, Your selection is a good one. I have shot there a number of times and have broken some good scores as well. They put on a good shoot.

You can see where the shot has stripped the trees just like some clubs here in Ohio, I shot there in Wisconsin when Vic Reindeer invited me in the 70s to shoot doubles with him, He and I both Chucked our guns, he with his Rem.31 and I w/my Win. Mod. 12 but with a release trigger. He commented you shuck that gun pretty well.

Muscoda looks like a great club to shoot at. The shooting line does remind me Vandalia.

Have not been that far west yet for Muscoda, but ventured to North Bristol about a month ago. Very impressed with the Restaurant/Clubhouse, as well as the people and grounds. A fully stocked bar and full kitchen with Fish Fry Friday nights, and Prime Rib/Ribs on Saturdays with basically a full menu. Kind of like a Country Club/Gun Club combined, although no frilly napkins. They were serving pancakes, eggs, and sausage for breakfast. Wish they had a club around here like that.

Muscoda Sportsmans Club looks to be a four block walk from main street. Looks pretty nice also. May have to get out there for that Five Man Team shoot. I love that part of the state with the ridge tops and valleys of farmlands.

As far as those lime green targets. They are really bright in the sunshine, just like the orange are for me when in the skyline, but against a dark background they are great. Even better with black rims! Another reason to like North Bristol.

I shoot in the hills of Eastern Pa. A lot of these 2 to 4 trap clubs you shoot into the trees. There topped pretty nice. Wish I had pics to post here. Anyone else have pics? I like to see different clubs. Wish I could shoot them all. Ed

The inside of that clubhouse is probably my favorite. It is not huge. I really liked the knotty pine. Very warm and friendly place.
