Don't have the box any more but I believe the model was called a "Gold Trap". 3 factory tubes F, IM, M and 4 Briley extended SK, IC, LF and IM. 14.5" LOP, neutral stock no palm swell. The front comb post is loose and needs epoxied in. Pictures are uploading slow, if interested I have plenty more. $2500 shipped in the case pictured.
I suspected that however doing a Google search I only came up with the 725 Golden Clays and the XT Trap Golden Clays. I do not believe it is either. Unless a long lost predecessor to the XT. I've had it for 10 years +.
The last 5 characters of the serial number are NW143. NW indicates 1994 production but i can't seem to find out what model 143 indicates.
J43=12 ga. Trap. 143 had to be a special model of which I can't find any reference. Of course Brownings serial numbers all depended on if they went to lunch at the bar. Their serial numbers are all over the place, and there was twenty different models of Citori or more. The rib is not the standard XT rib, and looks like the standard trap rib of that year. I wonder if that is the original stock? Seen some models that just listed "Gold" as the model of an XT, but can't see the rib configuration. This may be a very early model golden clays.
I would like to look at your gun. I will be at Cardinal later in the week, would like to call you my number is 937-725-1465, thank you.
