BRAD you must read this. Tell us why you aren’t the delegate!

 

He has not shot an ATA target in how many years?

 

From the ATA rule book:

The criteria for election as a State Delegate or Alternate Delegate are:
- actual physical residence within the boundaries of the State/Province of
representation, and
- in receipt of life membership certificate from the ATA, and
- a member in good standing of the State/Provincial Association of the
State/Province of representation, and
- ATA member in good standing for at least five (5) consecutive years, and
- active participation as evidenced by registration of at least 3,000 targets
total (Singles, Handicap and Doubles combined) in current and previous four (4) years, and of at least 500 targets each year in the current and previous four (4) years, and
- Shall not have been suspended within the prior five (5) years or for a period of one (1) year or more.
Target registration may be waived by the State or Provincial Association for shooters with an extensive target history who because of documented physical problems are not currently able to participate.


I believe Brad would make an excellent ATA Delegate! We will need him to start shooting again in order to meet the requirements. Brad is welcome on my squad anytime.

He's probably waiting for the new Eastern Trap Association to come about then he'll be the Executive director..... an organization really run by the general membership

 

If a Eastern Trap Shooting Association would start I'd be happy to help. On becoming an ATA delegate I guess I could bite the bullet and shoot a few thousand targets to qualify to be Ohio's delegate as it seems 35+ years of active ata shooting, several years of CC tournament directing, and the 400,000 thousand or so lifetime ata targets do leave me a little short in the delegate equation credentials.

It would be a lot simpler if our delegates would just do their jobs and reign in the EC and ED and let us know what is going on like our OSTA president did so well this year. I want to know did Missouri have to pay 250 grand or did they get a brother-in-law deal from Gibson.

Yes Sparta Sid you might have the right idea. I'll wait and see what happens with the Presidential election. If the communists get in I'll probably be shooting them come summer instead of clay targets, but if the country hasn't lost its mind and elects Trump Sid you might see me with one of those blue hats at the 2021 grand, but I'll bet it's not in Sparta.

 

Not to mention he "EARNED" his way into the Trapshooting Hall of Fame

Dave the way my eye site is going I might not recognize the average man by then, but I could be bribed with a brew every so often I would imagine. I don't know what difference it would make to greentitian or sparta sid. I doubt either of them has been to Missouri and as far as I can tell nothing of substance (news) comes from kool aid drinkers anyhow.

To make them feel at home over their I might be like the Illinois governor and sign some executive orders. Some off the top of my head. Three hole targets. Stakes and T-bars no radar guns. Mandatory reductions. Pre-madonnas not allowed to set their traps to suit themselves. Draw for banks, 25 targets to a trap, Doubles back to 30-20-30-20, get rid of half the categories and go to a true class system, 50 yard targets, doubles 50 yards too, Cut the EC's pay and do away with his outrageous bonuses, Can the EC gun they don't deserve it. I'm sure I'll have a few more needed orders by then, oh yes Target Claimers to be shot every morning before the start of shooting. I hate cheaters and lairs.

If Trump can drain the swamp I'd think I'd be able too.

Brad I believe you're getting a little soft .Whadda you mean bank system I thought you were a walk the line man. Other than that I believe you're spot on. What you are saying is that you want to take us back to before Vic Reinders first term. Actually what you could almost call the good old days. There probably aren't very many on here that even know what walking the line means and even fewer that know that doubles used to be quite a bit more than they are now.

If your eyesight prevents you from shooting, and that can be documented, then you would meet the requirements as written above. Poor eyesight would certainly be a physical problem. Maybe we could have Doc Warren say you are damn near blind and therefore can’t / shouldn’t shoot. Since Doc knows you so well we will have to pay him extra so he doesn’t mention any of your documented mental problems!

 

The "greentitian" only shoots 200-400 a YEAR so you are correct that it wouldn't matter to him. I shot more in one weekend than he shot in an entire year. Hell, I shot more in one year than he did since he joined in 2006. HA!, he only joined then because they moved that August shoot to his backyard. I'll check the records after this years 'grand' is over and see if he even went.

The funniest thing on this whole thread is when that name was mentioned.

Not that it will probably ever happen but I would re-up if things changed.

 

DON, bullheaded, stubborn, and telling it like he sees it isnt a mental problem. Its just BRAD, He is clearly sane compared to all these idiots running this state and our congress.

 

Flyer's The worst part of this whole thing would be the ATA daily fees so if I do this I'm thinking a couple of 1500 bird double marathons and I'd get out of it for under $10 to the current EC for them to piss away.

Though Bob I got to admit it is a strange world when I'm looked at as the voice of reason.

 

Maybe we should skip the ATA Delegate campaign and run Brad for the US Senate? I’d love to see the look on the faces of the Senate big whigs when Brad walks in wearing a Ted Nugent “You gotta kill it before you you can grill it” tee shirt!

 

Brad, You may be all the shooters need to unload the usless baggage that run the ATA. Give it some serious thought. I doubt if anyone would run against you for the job. I also would love to see the reaction From the EC. Maybe just maybe many of the present BOD would come alive also. Roger C.

Ollie posted the dirty laundry comment. I could be wrong but I interpreted that as saying someones, as you said,"dirty laundry" could be cleaned when it is exposed, or "laundered."
