I have not posted on tsc since the new guys took over last summer. I was too used to the old system and I also didn't like the way tsc was banning posters, I think you need dissenting points of view, not ATA EC's point of view as the only one. Most trap shooters don't shoot registered targets. Moulton Gun Club had 25 plus squads on New Year's day shoot and most of those shooters never saw a ATA bird shot, just meat shooters. Good Luck and thanks for the advertising of Thorn Bottom, still shooting pheasants but haven't shot ATA for 3 years, but have shot some local meat shoots this fall. Brad Dysinger. From forum rules. The forum administration and moderators encourage membership and posters from all of the shotgun sports. This not just an ATA, PITA, or NSSA forum. Trapshooters at all levels are encouraged to post. Gun toters are also welcome. We are inclusive!
We Thank You Sir Like a breath of fresh air. My sign on name in no way means what it looks like. That was for the resident, "the ATA can do no wrong" Kool Aid drinkers on TS.com. Flyersarebest
Brad I totally agree with you that site banned me 3 times, last time because I would not answer Barfins Post, he kept trying to get me to argue with him, and it p*ssed him off cause he could not get me to answer, there are all kinds of people on that site, some good some bad. Everybody has their opinions they may not agree with yours, and yours may not agree with mine. I am old school, we used to have competitive targets and a std. shell speed of 1200fps. Dr.longshot
I agree on the differing opinions, and viewpoints being allowed to play out. On the other site, I believe that to many were allowed to break the rules by posting degrading, and hateful comments to which the others would join in like a pack of wild animals, and do the same without repercussions. Turned that site into trash in my opinion. Hopefully this site will allow grownups to voice their opinions without childish behavior of name calling, and degrading posts. However when they cross the line of the rules, or go off on personal attacks, I would hope they have a shorter leash here. JMO
We , as grown adults who profess to be responsible enough to own and shoot guns should be able to manage our written opinion and expression of same to others no matter what our thoughts or feelings are at times on any given subject ... The world today is nothing like the world most of us grew up or was raised in ... The courts eliminate a parents right to give a kid a kick in the a$$ if needed and makes them the criminal in doing so, there bu condoneing the kids actions in doing so ... I was a kid once, I needed a kick in the a$$ from time to time to keep my thinking right and keep me out of trouble ... Kids today have no respect for anyone like most of us as kids had or else ... I read the rules to this site and they are easy to understand, written in plain english so there should be no problems if they are adhered to by all ... I try to play by the rules though probably have bent them a time or 3 in my life time which may or may not of caused a problem ... I truly wish the Mods on this site all the best and hope they are around for a long time to give everyone something a little different to look at ... wpt ...(yac) ...
TGV asked why this is pinned at the top. I think because it sums up forum goals. And it quotes some forum rules. You see I have a better than average sense of the obvious.
Not all TS.Com posters drink the KoolAid. I feel that both forums will have good information on the shooting sports. I also enjoy the BS that gets around. We do need to have fun doing this.
I used to enjoy reading Brad's posts on the old forum. I quit posting over there before the ownership change. Hoping to pick up some tips and pointers on this new forum, it's looking good!
Glad to see a new site, hope to see some of the old timers who used to post on the old TSC forum back in the David days. tommy terex
Hi Leftout Here the rules are sometimes the part of the discussion. And in this case, they are the reason for the discussion and the reason for the forum. Thanks for commenting. M1
HI Brad !! I'm chatting with KRE right now... Enjoying the talk, and we enjoy seeing you on here again now. Later, Dave
Manners are more important than rules. Amazes me how quickly on other forums it goes from a topic discussion to a personal attack. Some value only their own rules and opinions, some are willing to follow that lead without question...... Larry
Brad: After about one week I am seeing the same thing that has ruined TS.com happening to this site. Right Wing Nut Cases trying to kidnap the site. They won't listen to arguments or rebuttals without throwing insults of the vile kind against the poster. You know me personally and I'll address this the next time we see each other. Hope the web site changes course. However, you've lost my support and participation. hoppin
This is the same guy who replied to my Off-Topic Sean Penn thread with the following: "I believe your a stupid SOB who is of questionable gender and pedigree. I'm sorry that you feel you're above everyone else. A bad affliction something like herpes." LOL. -Gary
To the top because I know you still lurk here. Funny, same type of circle/slash avatar as the one with the bird on it. Don't forget, you can contact a mod for your barrel decal. Flyersarebest
This site just keeps on getting better ... What a breath of Fresh air ... Thank you to all involved ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Well Joe what I wrote then is still all true about me. Still hunting, not shooting ATA any and not missing it or the cool aid drinkers on the old place and that ilk.. The SCTP has found a home at the Cardinal and the Grand in Sparta is a bigger joke than 3 years ago. Most of the shooters I know just don't seem to care anymore and have moved on with there small club shooting. The meat shoots at Cloverdale, Leipsic, Continental, Paulding, still going strong on their respective Sunday's. The only real change has been in the country with President Trump stoking the economy and stock market so much in 2017. I wonder how the Green Titan and his like will be able to blame the grand's low numbers on the price of gas or the bad economy as they did for years; of course Obama was from Illinois too. Brad Brad
It is all about math, not magic ..... In the past, the good old days ..... a local "day shooter" could attend a large shoot, play a couple of 10/20 dollar options, and break a 25/50, and may take home a few hundred bucks for the effort ..... And have no shame if this happened on short/mid yardage ..... The war on so-called "sandbagging", along with selling the "idea" that "long yardage" is far more important than a score that may win something ..... was all done in the effort to keep the Big Dog/Idols in lunch money ..... Think about it ..... I can "shoot local", "have a good day", and possibly go home with more of something than I had at the start of the day ..... I can go to a "ATA" shoot, win NOTHING for my best day of shooting EVER ..... and be "shamed" for the "effort" because it may have been from "less than the 27", along with possibly getting more yardage to lower my scores that lose at their highest levels ..... Some of the best "Trapshooters" rode the "short bus" to school ..... but, even they can figure out the difference in "competing" and "donating" ..... FWIW ..... I got tired of telling my wife she was "right" ..... It is STUPID to spend several days and several thousand dollars, in hopes for a plastic duck and/or an attendance pin for a life-time best effort .....
THEN: How'd ya do? Pretty good, 97 from the 24.5 There were 3,250 shooters. There was one 98 and six of us broke 97's WOW, nice shooting, that should get you some money back. It should, I didn't play everything but I figured it ought to pay decent. How much was it? Holy crap, almost $1900.00 Way to go, congrats NOW: How'd ya do? Missed 3 That's too bad, better luck next time Huh?
