What’s the best butt pad for a trap gun

I would like to replace the butt pad on my Mx8. What pads work the best for trap.
Brand, shape, thickness etc. Thanks

 

Kickezz is the way to go. Shape is the trap pad. Thickness depends on your LOP.

What is wrong with the factory pad that is now on your MX8?

 

I would go with a Kick Ezz trap. For me there the best you can get.

 

Used kick- Ezz for years --Switched to Microcell, will never go back --Made in Italy by the Cervellati company -Which makes pads for Beretta - Perazzi -Blaser - and many other high end gun makers

 

Trapdude, 3/4, 1 and 1 1/2 inch thick, multi colors, have had one on my gun for 10 yrs.

Kick-ezz is a brand--there are several styles of Kick ezzes, I like the modified -trap

 

Depends your your priorities.
I've had several Kick-Eez and currently have several Limbsavers on my target and hunting shotguns.
If you want a pad that will will look good for a long time, go Kick-Eez.
If you want a pad that will absorb recoil the best, put on a Limbsaver, either Classic or the new Airtech.
There's no comparison in those two categories.

 

Another vote for kick-eez.......they have always held up well for me.

 

Gooey pad or Microcell for me!

 

I have been shooting for over 40 years, and do gun fitting work & install pads. Preference is a big part of it, but in those many years, I have used the kick-eez, and switched to using & installing the Terminator pad. It is longer lasting & softer.

 

I put a Falconstrike on and really like it. Recoil reducer in a pad that really works, IMHO.

 

Kick eez or Terminator, have used one or the other over 40 years ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

I don't even know if they make em anymore but I had a Super Gooey put on my doubles gun years ago and it sure took the bite out of shooting that gun.

 

Gooey pads are great, but if you get two years out of them in the Fl heat, you're doing good

Gooey for comfort, Kick-ezz modified trap for consistent mount--but I'm short & used to have chest muscles, lost 20 lbs and everything is up in the air, these days may go with micro-cell
