Spoke with a Board member yesterday and this subject is already on their minds. The way things are going we might be lucky if we have a state shoot.
One year when I was tournament director for the state shoot we waived the target requirements because the ata was late posting shooters targets on line so we couldn't verify how many they had shot that year. I think NO target requirements should be the norm not the exception. That year I had Joe post what we were doing on the worn out place. That was before this one was opened) and they through him off (banned) because they thought it was a lie or some reason. I think that was the second time Joe had been banned in the same week or the first time that week and then later was the second time but no matter NO REQUIREMENTS this year if the state shoot does happen is my recommendation.
Yep, true story. Got booted off a worn out place for posting no target requirements at the Cardinal Center OSTA Championship. (at the direction of Brad). And then again for talking about the great grudge match. At the next shoot Brad teased me in front of his All American friends. They asked me what I was going to do about it. I said it was time for a new voice in the sport. Brad laughed and asked, “what do you know about website development?” I said, “I will know enough by January.” Truth is. It was a group project.
We didn’t tell anyone until two days before this site opened. First message was to Flyer and then Longshot. Next was dawg. That was a fun week.
Yeah I was the first one and I liked the idea but we were supposed to be here for ONLY 30 DAYS. Thanks to this misfit crew I have been posting for over 5 YEARS Doctor that up on Photoshop and drop it from your bomb bay
It was the best move in history of TRUE REAL trapshooting information. I also feel there is no need for Target requirements. They should never have deviated from the Original ATA target requirements, it could be done easily in one year. In this day and time none is needed. GB...………………………………...DLS
I got text message for the OSTA President yesterday. Target requirements have been dropped for the 2020 state shoot, assuming we have a shoot. Be safe, stay home and with some luck maybe we will be able to shoot.
