Coronavirus affecting big shoots

Looks like big shoots may be affected by the coronavirus-, I'm 77 if I catch this bug I'm a dead duck--

I will not get on any flying contamination chamber till this bug gets under control

Gee another reason the shoot in Sparta won’t be GRAND. First it was the economy. Then they blamed the OH and PA shooters they said they didn’t need. Now its the bug???

 

I get your point but I don't think many fly into that place in ILLnews anyway.

Small weekday and weekend shoots are effected now also. Stay cool things will be up and going soon.

 

I'll bet the "GRAND" will be cancelled. There's no way they can take the chance of putting thousands of people together without health consequences. Most shooters are in the high risk age bracket and will sit this one out anyway. I can think of a thousand other places I'd rather be than Sparta on a hot muggy day anyway. It will, and already has been, a big hit to ATA shooting already.

That shoot in ILLnews this August? Too early to say if they will have it or not. I for one hope they do hold the shoot.
It will be nice to see all 1,200 people shoot the BIG DAY. I can't say Event 24 because they might have to shorten the whole thing.

It would be nice if all the people that did attend payed a little something extra to make up for any fee revenue lost because a lot of shoots had to be cancelled.

Kinda like the HOF donation/FEE.

The "COVID-19" ata Recovery Fee.

For all you members that had to miss shoots due to the shutdown of many facilities throughout the country we just want to say how happy we are that you could attend this years grand.

Please be aware that due to the loss of daily fees from those closures we have decided that we must charge an extra fee for each event.

We are sure this won't be a burden since the fee is only $2.00 per event or, if you are shooting more than 10 events the fee will be a flat $20.00. Shoot 11 events save $2.00 Shoot 12 events save $4.00 Shoot 13 events save $6.00 and so on.

Of course we encourage everyone to donate that savings to the HOF recovery fund.

Please feel free to donate anything you like above these fees.

These fees will be separate from the HOF recovery fee which we will be charging again this year.

I'll bet "Gip"son & Bradford will figure out a way to snarl some of that relief money out of the 2 Trillion package that WAS supposed to go to the people.

Maybe they can say it's for the MUSEUM and ARTS that the Democraps wanted in that bill, along with a host of other crap that had NOTHING to do with the welfare of our citizens.

 

All squads will consist of 2 shooters. One on station 2. One on station 4. Social distancing.

RECORD NUMBERS ATTEND ata MAJOR SHOOT

The ata announced today that they have set a new all time attendance record for their "grand American" Trap shoot in ILLnews.

The organization told the local television station that they had a little over 750 squads for just one event which is known in Trap shooting circles as "The Big Day". Director Lynn Gipson told the reporter that this showed that the organization was moving in what he called a, fantastic direction.

* The local reporter didn't ask how many people were usually in a "squad" and since he was a local reporter he didn't bother counting himself.
