Picking the perfect squad.

Let’s say you can pick the other four shooters. Who would be on your squad?

 

What I would consider a perfect squad is any 4 shooters that you enjoy shooting with and that they enjoy shooting with you.

Dave Berlet

 

Dave Shaffer, that gal from Kolar, Graphmeister, that little Green queer.

 

For a couple of years I was fortunate to be allowed to shoot on a squad with Dave Berlet, Willie Anderson, Ken Berger and Tom Hildebrand. I was the youngest shooter on the squad and usually had the lowest score. It was a great squad and I had lots of fun with those guys. Listening to Ken’s stories of his early days with Remington Arms was priceless. So many gin rummy games with Willie and Tom, some of them we were even sort of sober! I still get to shoot with David these days and cherish each time I take the line with him. Tomorrow is promised to no one. Enjoy each and every day the good Lord grants us!

 

Pocahontas, Sanders, Schiff, and Trump. I think Pocahontas would be a Target claimer like Pipe Layer.

 

First pick would be Frank Little.

 

Mike, Kevin, Ginger, and Jim.

I would shoot with the 4 stooges or three of them and that garage gunsmith. I know I can still shoot far better scores than any of them and it would be fun listening to their excuses.

I prefer to squad early, so anyone else who wants to squad early at my yardage is my perfect squad.

I do really enjoy shooting with my dad and two daughters though. I know those days aren't going to be around forever!

 

I have my normal guys. Sometimes we get a random, and all I ask is you show up on time and just say pull like a normal human. No reason to shout it, say it for 5 seconds, growl, scream something. Just say pull.
