Thanks guys! Lost the carry-over but won high in state sr.vet with a 197 today. That's after losing one on each of my first three traps!! Will do Bill!! HAP
Thanks my friends! HOA & HAA in state SV plus handicap sr.vet win today! Coulda been a total SV sweep but not for my dismal dbles score. The cash is nice too! HAP
Hap Who is your new delegate. Is he or she in favor of a 30 yard line? Any support for that idea among the general membership? Any talk of bringing back the 3 hole target?
Great shooting old friend !!! Wish I could have been there to lead the squad and watch your excellent shooting. Folks, if you don't know, Hap shoots with pain every day, he usually goes to the chiropractor every week or two, just to have a normal life. Tom Strunk
Thanks for all the attaboys guys!! I'll post a picture or two tomorrow, too sore today to get much of anything done around the ranch. Shoot well everyone! HAP
Hap, How about a plug for all the equipment you choose to get you to the shoot-offs. Type shells, gun, hat, loafers etc.
Since I am NOT one of those younger competitors I mentioned in my post on the definition of a Senior Vet I have all the above items covered. What I want to know is what kind of over the counter pain pills Hap used to allow him to shoot that great. Heck, I might even start my own brand. HAP-PY PAIN RELIEVER. Start your day the HAP-PY way. Take two before you sign up and get ready to win everything. Warning: Talent required. These pills will not help stop rectal/cranial inversions. Flyersarebest
Thanks again to all of you fellow shooters! converse, I do everything possible to limit my shooting to 200 targets per day. Friday 27th was an exception to that rule. In order to be in contention for HOA and the Martin Lewis I had to shoot 300 targets that day. For that, I paid dearly in the singles championship event missing in my first five targets on the first trap and one each on the next two traps! I knew I had to bite my lip in order to at least stand a chance from that point on and I did. Unlike the Spring Grand where I stunk up the trap fields due to just being tired and hurting, I'd bought a 42 inch TV for our bedroom and that sucker has 4 times the sound quality as our old one! I finally figured our how to get some sleep, rest! I only take arthritis strength aspirin for my pain which lasts for 200 targets. I use a ProSoft stock by Phil Sims of Colorado! If not for that stock, I'd probably have to quit shooting! Loads? I used 1 ounce reloads and light Super Target 2-3/4 dr 1-1/8 8s for caps. One caps event I used new Rem STS 1 ounce 7-1/2s and broke a 93 with those. The loads, if you can shoot them without pain, doesn't really matter much what load you use, any load used must be shot on what I call the money side of a target! HAP
Hap, See if you Doctor will give you some Tramadol (50MG's), seems to help much better than even the heavy duty Aspirin ... I take it on the days when nothing else will help and its seems to at least take the edge off of the pain .... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Hap, I take Arthrotec 75 mg 2 tablets daily, one in the morning and one at supper, these must be taken right after eating with a full glass of water. These pills allow me to shoot without pain. Some doctors might not prescribe these as they could cause a heart problem or even a heart attack. I don't have a problem and I have been taking them for 17 years.
Let's see, really shooting great and winning, OR a chance of having a heart attack? Pull it! Flyersartebest
