Does anyone know if it's possible to put a release trigger in a SxS shotgun ? I've been told it can't be done.. Bob
It would depend entirely on the design of the trigger. Sidelocks would be tricky. Many Beretta SxS box locks have triggers nearly identical to the O/U and tho it would likely be expensive anyone who makes the O/U release could prolly adapt it to the SxS. Let me be the first to wish you the very best of luck
I have a browning bss and a skb 200 hr. I love to shoot these at specialty events, but almost can't do it anymore. The flinch is so bad and i've shot a release for so long.. I have yet to see a release in a SxS. I did ask one gunsmith that does a lot of release triggers and his response was no..
If it can be done then Phillip's gunsmithing can handle the job. He's amazing what he knows and can do with any gun
Mr. Lowman, He was the gunsmith that i asked......i'm like you; figured he could do it if anyone could..
Mel Hunting put one in a Model 21 for me and it worked great. Mel has since passed on. But it can be done.
Thank you very much, fritz08 and Roger. Glad to know it can be done and i will check with Doug.........
Mel is alive 93 years old in a senior living center he was a designer of many release triggers for lots of different guns. He put double releases in my Beretta EELL very difficult as the side plates are where the release parts go. He had the hooks come over from the back to catch the hammers. He also did put sone in a friends Win 21 also. Mel was a Pan Am pilot one of the first to fly 747 overseas. He had a shop in White Horse NJ and was the first importer of Kreighoff guns into the United States I purchased one from him it was stamped Mel Hunter importer when Krieghoff first got the rights to make the gun fro Remington. Then Hal Dupont came along and opened in Miami in. the 1970's
