I have a TM-1 Special with less than 10k rounds thru it. After opening the gun the lever moves to the left. To close the gun I have to move the lever to the right. It locks up tight and the lever is to the right. Is this a fix it yourself issue? It is close to the season and do not want to send it away.
Unless you're familiar with P guns, it's best if you have someone that knows how and you watch how it's fixed. HAP
From your post it sounds as if the lever will not stay to the right after you open the gun. Mine does this if I short stroke the opening lever, it must be moved fully right against the stop to stay there on my gun. Could that be your problem?
Borderland>>thanks for the response. I do not think that is the problem. A close friend suggested the same thing.
When was the last time you cleaned it good.Pull the stock off and really cleaned the insides? I picked up a combo and was having the same problem.Pulled off stock and sprayed it with carb cleaner to remove the gunk and old grease. Worked like a charm. Just am idea. Hope it helps.
you need a top leverlock spring i would replace the plunger also thnks howard. ps. if you arent familiar with removing the top lever dont mess with it. send it to whizz at s w supply he has quick turn around
Long time ago but on a follow up .....I flooded the hole with oil and flooded the lever mechanism with oil. A few weeks later the TM1 magically fixed itself. Thanks all.
If flooding the hole with oil fixed the problem, your gun needs good cleaning to get the built up gunk out of it ... Its just a matter of time until you have problems again if there is a build up inside of it ... I am not a fanatic about cleaning my gun by any means, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do ... If you have an air compressor turn the air down to about 50 #'s blow the crap out of it , you might be amazed at the amount that comes out of it ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
