I need some help here, I need to find the Lightest Trap Gun I can find w/the possibility of having a Release trigger installed. My left shoulder has almost all Muscle Tendons torn loose, and the pile up in the Muscle Area, My Ljutic w/release is on the heavy side for me, am I wrong thinking 6 to 7 lbs area is feasable? My Ljutic is at all factory specs, Bbl untouched, Ljutic Release, but has Wenig Wood w/o checkering, may trade it. GB...........Gary Bryant........................DLS
Go and get your shoulder fix or buy one of those gas gun with aluminium receiver. I'd spend the money on the shoulder first. Thanks Sgoose
I have a friend going through the same thing. He is shooting a Beretta A400 Multitarget. I don't know if it's the lightest but it is very light.
Don't know about the release trigger but if you want light, this is about the lightest ever made with a Trap designation.
My buddy had arthroscopic shoulder surgery on both shoulders. He is not exactly a young buck but he was out the same day after surgery and was functional about 3 weeks later.
I think the lightest I’ve shot is my Perazzi TM1... however I have a precision fit stock to cut the recoil. Makes a great competition gun.
The TM-1 I shot some years backs weighed in at 8 lbs 10 oz's, only change from factory was up graded wood ... The lighter the gun the more felt recoil unless you have some device to eliminate it ... I put a PFS on an MX 2000 I shot and it shot like a .022, very little recoil, probably the softest shooting gun I ever shot ... It weighed almost 10 pounds ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
I would guess one of the Beretta Auto loaders A391, is a good choice and you can adjust some of the recoil by loosening the end cap on the forearm stock.. Mike
I had a a400 multi target until recently and with the kick off system I felt little to no recoil. Reasonably priced new and used. Only downside is on doubles where it really chucks the shells out. My squad mates didn’t like getting hit all the time with the hulls. Not very heavy of a gun either. 7.6 pounds per the beretta website. Briley does make a release trigger for it.
4mo ago had total reverse shoulder replacement (shooting shoulder) Iam 74 started shooting last week ,lost some movement to rear best thing done for this old body. I shoot a kolar
Citor feather lighting Not a trap gun --But 7,2# - ordered one today - I will be trying it on trap for sure -I am sure a release will work on one
