This happened at the Big Seafood Blast, Pennsville NJ sporting clays shoot, this is the first time that I know of that something like this has happened. It is a great place to shoot and sits on approx 1200 acres of sporting clays fields/ hunting ground and duck/pheasant hatchery. Where this trailer was located was down a 1/4 mile long driveway close to the clubhouse. Someone knew what they were doing and only hit one vendor. The Sporting clays US Open will be there in the middle of May, security/ cameras has been increased.

A thief is the lowest form of life. May they all have a painful death. Between my home and business, my wife and I have been robbed, NINE time by thieves. My greatest desire is to catch one of them. I (WILL) put so many hole in their body they will never be able to keep embalming fluid in them. Roger C.

The biggest fear would be that they have almost no chance to sell these, and not be noticed. Not like they are standard grade guns. If so, will they dump them somewhere in a lake or some chit.

I would sure hope that anyone that would buy these from a private seller would sure look into the pricing and or a stolen list for serial numbers. I doubt they will try and sell these for retail cost. You know, the "if the deal is to good to be true" thing.

Another thing if they are somewhat professional maybe sell them overseas.

First thing I thought of. I doubt if this was two local guys looking to steal a couple of guns and they came across the trailer by accident. More than likely they were sold before they were taken.

Probably on the boat somewhere already, be very interesting if any ever turn up....i'm sure the insurance company will look it over very closely as well for this amount on money

Lets hope they were insured. If they were consinment guns, there could be a problem. total loss upwards of $350,000.00.

It is sad to read things like this happened to our community. A gun society suppose to be a safe society especially clay shooting circle.

Wow, you might want to get some solid information before suggesting that, IMO. I don't think Pacific Sporting Arms is hurting, and needing a fire sale so to speak.

When a wife disappears the first suspect questioned by the cops is the husband-SOP.

    Oleo has a good point.
A lot of Gun store thefts can be linked to former employees, Drugs, or others in the know.
Not to be a Know It All, but I wouldn't have left that much inventory unattended.

    Regards.....Gerald

I going to tell you a true story as this actually happened to us. Some years ago I was welding for a fellow in Memphis TN
we were getting robbed on a regular basis, well one night Larry stayed late working upstairs when he heard a noise downstairs so he grabbed his shotgun and eased down the stairs well he caught the guy going across the floor with my toolbox on his shoulder one shot and all the guy said was oomph, well then he got worried called the Police they came
over looked at the guy turned him over and in his wallet had 7 different drivers license in 7 different names they looked at Larry still shaking told him they should take him downtown and give him a trophy. That guy was 57 years old and had spent
35 0f them in jail off and on. Moral to the story is we were never robbed again. The story gets out you will fight for what you own they don't want to die for it. Yes it was Memphis TN

I don't think Oleo was referring to an inside job from Pacific Sporting. More likely, someone associated with the shoot or the club. Sure looks like local knowledge based on the singled out shop and method.

I've had more stuff stolen at trap shoots than anywhere else. It's a target rich environment. It's certainly inconvenient but constantly returning to the car as a lockup has put a stop to the problem for me. I know - slow learner. I actually thought shooters would all be honest. Pretty funny, eh?

Maybe the thieves were not shooters?

Great point. Trap shoots, especially at a large facility are a target rich environment. Lots of trusting individuals leaving their belongings exposed to the world.

A guy was at a shoot on the east coast and had a single barrel Parker Trap gun. He put it in the rack and went to get it and it was gone. He made a police report and that was it. Years went by and nothing on the gun. He thought it was gone for good. A friend was going through the estate auctions and noticed a Parker single barrel in the auction that was in the same grade as his friends. It was in Ca. He told him about it and they called the local police about and asked them if they could look into it. They did and the S# matched. It was his gun. He got it back after 35 years. No one knows how it got to the west coast from the east coast. This I read out of the Trap and Field mag. years ago.

I have a bunch of them somewhere. House theft in Ohio. about 35 yrs. ago, 12 guns, jewelry, cash, coin collection. Never recovered a thing. Guess there is still hope on the guns. Roger C.
