I want a Fishburn Burger, Apple Fritter & Coke for Breakfast!

Most registered shooters east of the Mississippi have to know who these great gals are!

 

How about the Chicken-n-Noodles too.

Ok, you deleted my post twice. Good apple fritters there although they went up 50% in price in one jump. Couple years ago someone said the pulled chicken sandwich was great. Absolutely one of the nastiest things I've ever tasted - they did give me a refund.

 

They always ran out of the pulled pork sandwiched early! Last time I was there the Apple Fritters were big enough to give 3 skinny guys a heart attack.

 

You can tell they like their pics taken. I know I spend close to $200 a week at that stand. Pulled pork, brats, breakfast sandwiches, fishburn burgers and maple cream sticks with bacon on top. And the pie plate sized fritters. Now I am hungry.

 

They never make enough of the pulled pork. Considering the above menu I am amazed at the fitness of the trapshooters.

those dog gone apple fritters are a killer. I showed a picture to my doctor and he told me I better be careful and only eat one a week. They are really good on windy days. The keep you "planted" motordoc

 

Does anyone know where they get those? It's from a small (Amish I think) bakery not too far from CC but I've forgotten what little town it was in.

 

The fritters/cream sticks etc are all made fresh in the stand at the Cardinal Center. My favorite is the maple cream sticks fresh out of the fryer. Some take the fritter to the ice cream maker and have a few scoops dumped on.

 

Actually the people at the stand and also in the restaurant are the ones who told me they get the fritters from a bakery, but I've forgotten where it was.

 

They used to get them from an amish bakery BUT they changed and the lady in the center of the picture now makes them. I think she has her own bakery someplace close. They are NOT AS GOOD as they used to be. I talked to her at length at the last shoot when I saw they changed bakers. She was not putting enough apple in the dough and was not frying them as crispy. She made a couple of changes and they were getting better. The old bakery was much better but I did not know where it was. She said that they would stop every morning and pick the up but this is easier motordoc

 

Now I'm hungry.

 

I stop to shoot some practice when I drive thru Columbus. It is lonely looking over towards the Fishburn stand in the winter.

 

Craving one of those cream filled donuts now.

I believe the donuts come from 8 Sisters Bakery in Mt. Gilead. Pretty sure they don't make them at Cardinal because at the Cardinal Classic they had not been delivered yet one morning and they estimated an hour before they would arrive.

 

Lazer....It was cold and miserable when this thread started. The success of this forum was certainly in question and getting a Fishburn Burger was only a memory.

This is the week. I will post live with pictures from the CC with burger in hand.

 

If you want pulled pork get there before Big Don. he is the problem.

 

With all the fritters and cream sticks being talked about they better put Lipitor and Crestor in the drinking water!
