    For 16 yard I shoot new Federal Top Gun1 1/8th oz #8 Shot, for Handicap I shoot Nitro 27s w/19 grs Promo 1 1/8th Mag 7.5s,

On buddy shoots first shot I mark Primers w/Blue Permanent Marker, For line back ups I draw a Black Line Across the Brass & Primer, For Long Shootoffs I mark my Longshot Shells w/4 Red Lines across primer whether it is a Top Gun, STS, Rio, or Gray AA and I toss them away after being shot.

My 1 oz loads of #7.5s I put a Black Line from Center of primer Down the brass a half Line.

On the 50 Experimental 1 1/4oz #6s I marked the hull w/ 3 RED Perm. Marker lines across the hull w/one over the Primer and one line on each side.

I do not want shells to get mixed up, I box the Shells for Registered,

Buddy shoot and Shootoff I store them in Empty 8 Lb Plastic Powder Containers, that I cut just beyond the handles across the top down to the Moulded lines around the container, they are easily handled that way.

My process is much simpler than yours Gary, My 16 yard are Nitro27, FIO primers, windjammer wad, 1 1/8 #8 shot with 18 grains of Vectan AS. My Handicap is only 20 yards but I use 20 grains of Green Dot, FGM hulls, FIO primers, 12S3 wads and 1 1/8 #8 shot. No real reason for the difference other than I have the powder and the hulls. For games and shoot offs I use the GM hulls with 21 grains of Green Dot and 1 1/8 #7,5 shot... If I get to shooting longer handicap I suspect my load might change a bit...... Larry

I just make stick on labels on the computer with powder type and grains, shot size and weight, primer make. Put them on the box when you box them.

I just buy Stickers to put on boxes, that are 1 inch round. I just put 1oz & shot size for 16yard Trap & Skeet loads.
For My Handicap loads 1 1/8oz and shot size.

An unadorned plain brown shotshell box. No corporate advertising of any kind, no writing...think Stealth. Now if I was sponsored, then that would be different. DSCN2667.JPG

Blue painters tape around the box for 9's which are for first target doubles, and red duct tape for singles and second target doubles. We shoot Federal Ultra factory load 3 Dram for caps. Factory loads are required in the grand so might as well do it full time.

    the wad,and the date.

Tupperware makes stick on labels in dispensers similar to Scotch Tape. Tear one off, stick it to the box and add your information.
Quick n simple. Cheap too if your wife already happens to have a supply of them......... Larry

As far as packaging, I reload for my son as well as myself. He has a Snap-On franchise and on Monday nights I drive an hour and a half to a club where we shoot and then he catches second shift coming off and third shift coming on a plant there. I shoot my local clubs other nights. With that volume, the reloaders dump into 5 gallon buckets. Too much to box up.

Doc, If I used your system I would have to carry a ledger to remind me of which shell to use for whatever. By the time I figured out which to use the other shooters would have shoved me out of the line and went ahead without me!

Here's the U Tube address for the video in my previous post:

There are a couple places to buy, Midway and Cabelas, but by the time you pay the freight you are looking at 60 cents apiece. If unmarked boxes are important mah66 has provided a valuable source. Larry

AA Red for 16 and first shot on doubles with #8-1/2, GC Green for HDCP and second shot on doubles with #8 or #7-1/2 depending on the day and how "lucky" I feel.

Avery Shipping Labels #8163. They are 2" x 4" and fit the top of a shell box perfectly. I use the Avery web site and create the label I want. It allows you to use their software without downloading it and you can save and print on your own printer. You get ten labels per sheet, 25 sheets in the package. Available at any Office Depot or Staples. I include:
Handicap (or singles or doubles) 1 1/8 # 7 1/2, MV 1200 @ 9300 psi, Fed Hull, 20.5 Green Dot, Fed 209A, Fed 12S3. For singles its whatever I'm loading for singles, doubles etc. All of that info fits early on the label. Boxes are scrounged and empty flats also. I load up 500 of whatever at a time (two) flats. Label all the boxes and stick one on each flat. I save the label to my file and whenever I need that particular label again, its saved and ready to go.

When I was a reloader (for over 30 years) I had so many different types and colors of hulls so that when I wanted to distinguish between loads I would simply use different color hulls. Blue or green for this one and red for that one. I was too lazy to make up unnecessary (for me) labels. The color told me what I was using it for.

All my reloads are 1150 fps, 9/8 oz of 7.5 shot Cheddite primers.
Green Dot powder (# grains depends on hull), and wads based on hull (12S3 for federal and fig8 for Rem and AAs).
I shoot them on 16's, HDCP, and DBLS. Never have the "wrong" shells (smile).
