Westy Hogan's Attendance

Why was there an almost 23% decline in the West Hogan's attendance? Huge decline on Sunday. Was it the weather? Weather was nice in NY.

 

Sunday was a complete wash out, as it started raining late Saturday and never let up with Temps in Low 50's. Thanks to all who braved the conditions Sunday!

 

Weather can really screw things up. Looks like the weather for the Northeastern Grand is great...as of now.

 

Son and I sat on the bench while his momma delivered the goods. Only one gun to clean made life much simpler. Hats off to momma Tammy for a splendid performance regardless of wet weather.

Don't mock the trinkets. I can tell you from experience that the cash you win is gone in a heart beat but those "Trinkets" are always around to remind us of our moments of greatness.

Nope, it was a joke. I chose the jr target rate for the Westy. My sons 99 in caps on Friday could of been a good pay out. But as you said earlier he made it out great with trophies and future target tickets.

You can bet on that. An annual shot in Ohio that had 117 shooters last year only had 50 this year, on Sunday. That is a decline in shooters of over 50%.

 

The attendance being down just goes to show even less shooters are attending registered shoots, not that they quit shooting ... I go up to the Club on certain mornings and there are lines on the traps as well as the Sporting Clays fields, if it was a registered shoot there would probably 1/2 as many people ... The ATA promotes and is an inspiration that is why so many are walking away from their shoots ... People get sick and tired of their BS and leave ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

Attendance was only down on Sunday and that was because of the weather. Friday and Saturday had a difference of 10 shooters between 2018 and 2017 according to rjstaurt.
