I also did a scan of the list. Kind of hard to read but I did see almost all of the major brands and models. That being said, I didn't see Kolar or some of the other specialty brands listed.

I'm sure it is only an oversite but that shows how a "knee jerk " reaction goes. @#$$%$# Dems anyway!

I don't see lock stocks exempt from a collapsible stock list. Better sell them if you got'em.

FWIW you don't have to worry about your Kolar in that Bill. As far as shotguns are concerned, if it isn't a semi-auto, it is not in the definition of a "semi automatic assault weapon" and is not affected. Appendix A is not a list of the only guns exempted from the Bill as you seem to be thinking, it is a list of specific guns that are grandfathered in before the 2018 ban. It also specifically does not apply to pumps, lever actions, bolt actions etc., which is pretty obvious because it only applies to certain semi-autos. Not sure why they have such overlap in the exemptions. Rushed to get something out probably.

Bat could be specific as to where you see exemptions of guns not listed in Appendix A.

Sure, most of the Bill is taken up with definitions, but the meat of it is in Sec. 3 "Restrictions on Assault Weapons and Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Devices". See Sec. 3(a)(1) where it inserts "it shall be unlawful for a person... or possess a semiautomatic assault weapon." That is the only part actually banning any firearms. IT only applies to a "semiautomatic assault weapon" as that term is defined in the Bill.

Sections 3(a)(2) - (4) go on to list various exemptions. 3(a)(2) says the ban shall not apply to any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed on the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2018. Section 3(a)(3)(A) specifically exempts firearms manually operated by bolt, pump, lever, or slide action (redundant since they don't meet the definition of a "semiautomatic assault weapon" anyway). 3(a)(3)(B) and (C), and (4) (A) - (E) provide more exemptions. [(E) is the list in Appendix A you guys are talking about]

So Appendix A is only a part of the exemptions, but the main point you need to follow is that nothing needs to be exempted if it doesn't first meet the definition of the dreaded "Semiautomatic Assault Weapon" in the first place, since that is the only thing the Bill actually bans, even though they actually do provide exemptions that are redundant.

just wait!!! Give me a good liberal judge and I can shut up my shooting Buddy!!!!! (36) --C --Any part.-- combination of parts, or devices that accelerates the rate of fire -- That's all I hear about his release trigger on his 1100 Remington, that it is faster than my pull -- Witch is a add on part? .. Just trying to lighten up the conversation --- or I am -- it is scary

rrisum, if you run into Judge Artur it would be scary! But that section you are talking about only applies to rifles, so an 1100 should be safe even under Artur's twisted thinking.

So if it only applies to rifle a binary trigger on a 1100 would be legal under this bill ? Would be great for doubles

To me it would not matter if they made an exemption for every gun I own......... No SOB has any right to tell me what can be mine and what cannot be........... control.......... control................... control....... Telling you what you can have is the first step in making the list that starts..... OOOOOOOPS...... we changed our mind a little......... Larry

Gun control will only work with law abiding citizens. The criminal aspect will still be able to get any gun they want and do anything they want. The only thing that will stop them is a law abiding citizen with a gun.

Ken, I say AMEN. Liberals do not have to own a gun, that is their right under the law of the land, my right is to own one if I want to. AMEN Roger C.
