They have great guns for the buck. I just do not understand their marketing to not offer various length barrels without having to buy another gun.

You have a 32 and want a 30 you have to buy a new gun.

    Just bugs me!

    Actually, it's brilliant marketing.
Remember the mission of a gun company is to sell guns, not gun parts.

And ported barrels. They're so 80's. Ports are just loud and messy, I'll never buy another ported gun, ever.

I understand what you are saying but I wish they sold barrels also. I have a 34" and would like to drop down to a 32". I like ported barrels. Rick

Probably would not be that hard to find someone to trade with, in this case.

I think Midwestern Gun Works, has some Browning Barrels.

If I recall correctly, Browning barrels require a great deal of fitting and don't easily change from one gun to the other.

Had a 2 guys at our club that want to trade Browning barrels a few years ago. They had a heck of a time even finding someone that wanted to do it and cost was like $600.00. They traded metal and kept their own wood. Ended up costing them nothing and all numbers still match.

Buy another gun, get what you want out of it and sell the rest. Parts are worth more then the whole gun.

I called Browning to get some extra mags for the Hi Power 30 Luger. The lady who answered the phone told me to call this number. I called that number. They told me to call another number. That number told me to call another number that put me right back to the lady who I first called. She just gave me the same number she did before. I WENT OFF. All I was getting was the run around. Some guy then took the phone from her and settled me down. He said she shouldn't have done what she did and that he would sell me the mags that I wanted.

The problem with that gun is only about 2000 were ever made and they had to take a few of them to take parts off to service other guns. That was what I was told by the guy who helped me. The run around wasn't necessary at all.

A little customer service goes a long way.

Browning has never understood that but they are not the only ones.
