Wow, the powers at the top decided the 18 yd. line will soon be abolished. What a tremendous decision. Let's take away one yard from those sandbaggers and make 'em shoot real handicap from the 19. Oh, most of us are aware how hard it is to find a short yardage handicap squad-not me of course. While we're at it why not put out to pasture those old shooters with diminished skills who are likely to finish their career at the 18.

But what about those shooters carrying mid 90's averages from the 27 yd. line? Let's just continue to believe it's our duty to stand in awe of their tremendous talent and fork over the monthly mortgage payment in hopes they'll possibly have a bad day and provide us a few crumbs. It sure seems the ATA powers continue to believe it's in our best interest to keep the "big dogs" fat and happy while encouraging the others to eat cake!

Why on earth is any handicap shooting done in front of the 20 anyway? Shoot singles for goodness sakes.

Shoot singles? That's nearly what the "big dogs" consider the 27 yd. line!

Ahhh.....now its all fixed. Everyone is happy. Easy targets and high scores will still be around. The monies to be won will remain small and Mississippi will still be happy the easy yardage still available.

Registered targets thrown in OH and PA will still be at about 1 of 6 and the blue collar shooters that brought money in will still be playing games where there is more money.

Should be the 20 yard and split the class so 19 yarders are not competing with 27 yarders

Maybe the handicap yardage should be reduced to 14 yards. There are shooters that can't break 80 from the 16 yard line. Perhaps more shooters would participate in a handicap event. NO REDUCTIONS! Once you earn yardage, that's it. Learn to shoot it and move on.

Funny thing, I was at a local ATA shoot this weekend. Plenty of short yardage squads and very few at long yardage. Seems like the ATA screwed up again by penalizing 18 yrdr's while ignoring 27 yd. professionals.
