SCTP National Trap Tournnament back to Illinois?

The SCTP Nationals were held again at the Cardinal Center. What are the chances it will go back to Illinois?

 

Kinda depends if Gipson learned how to run a shoot when he was there this year.

Gipson does not run the SCTP!
The only thing that agreement did is get tbe ATA more memberships
By forcing the SCTP kids to become ATA members not AIM members.
The only targets that are registered are singles. No Handicap or Doubles.

Gipson does not run any SCTP shoots. Nor does he have any say with SCTP events.

The 2 organisations may be partnered but they still stand alone.

 

Gipson says the ATA is partners with the SCTP.

Before it starts, I like the facility in Sparta, have been there for two SCTP events and numerous Grand Americans. Lots more to offer away from the facility and shoot has better "feel" to it at Ohio.

 

Rumors say SCTP back to Sparta in 2018.

Heard it at the gun club tonight from someone on our State board.

 

I will bet two times your weekly allowance it wont happen. Ah hell make it 3X.

And the SCTP will be breaking their contract with the CC?

State board of what? Not sure if you are getting your rumors from the right people.

 

One of the board members of our state youth association.

Didn't know the SCTP had a contract with the Cardinal Center.
They did break their contract with the WSRC, though they didn't have much choice last year.

Just what I heard. No one else in conversation had heard anything either way.

Personally would prefer it's true but if it's not then so be it.

The State of Illinois is the one who broke the contract, not the SCPT ... They cancelled all shoots one year so the SCPT moved to Cardinal Center, would have to be a fool to move back and give them a chance to do that again ... Fool me once, shame on you ..Fool me twice , Shame on me ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

From what I have read about the Cardinal Center it is one fine facility not wanting for anything. After what Sparta did to the SCPT why would they ever want to go back?

 

"Win101" ..... It would suck for some "shooters" to watch their teammates/friends go compete, and them not, for what seems like a political pissing-match/turf war .....

If they do, they should very seriously consider the options they will have if the INDR decides to scrap the facility. Just something they should think about. Roger C.
