Added monies for one ounce loads?

I would like to see added monies for anyone that can shoot one ounce loads from the 27 and get a 98 or better at state shoots.

 

where is the money coming from, how do you over see what shell is being shot

 

Added money is added money. Any group / business can sponsor that. The management can put the money up.

You can also have an entry for one ounce loads.

Back when the game was more of a sport we regulated what shells you were permitted to use. Everyone got their shells from the designated shell house.

 

I think it would be the final nail in the ATA's coffin if they tried to go back to shooting new shells only, they have it required for handicap now but you can bring your own ... The shooters got a taste of shooting re pops and I doubt it would help the attendance if they all of a sudden said all event's require new shells bought on the grounds ... Its often hard to undo something once its done especially if people feel its to their advantage ...
I do not think you will be seeing that requirement (all new shells) anytime soon ... I don't think they need another add on to the add on's they already have in place, if you want to shoot ONE OZ. that's your choice ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

An extra option for one ounce loads only. Interesting idea.

 

I've heard that International Trap went to 1 oz shells to try to even the field cause of all the high scores, only to find out that the scores only went up...go figure. Case in point, since I started shooting 1 oz 8.5 my 16 yard scores have increased. Probably cause I stay in the gun so much better. In fact that's what I'm going to shoot today at the Michigan Team shoot along with 2 other guys on my team.

 

They made the target settings easier in International and you get almost the same number of shot in one ounce 8 1/2.

 

512 in one ounce 8 1/2
461 in 1 1/8 ounce number 8
