Very sad to hear. He was a very nice and interesting person to talk to. Condolences to his family and friends.
Wow, can't believe it! I just got hung up the phone talking with Joe Rossman (Motor Doc on other site) who said he'd heard it last night at the bowling alley in Cleveland. Joe, his new bride met for lunch last summer here in Rapid City. He told me this morning the Dennis died as a result of pneumonia. Bad stuff. I had it last year while in Portland and didn't know if I was going to make it back home. Was in bed for 3 weeks. Lost lots of weight, but with the doctor's help, I pulled through. Dennis and I spoke often and he ordered quite a few Perazzi parts from me. Another one of the "God Guys" bites the dust. Joe also tole me that Dawson died last week. Whew, us old gray hairs and checking out. Don't like that. Stay healthy! Whiz
Very sad news. Dennis was a great craftsman and his talents will be sorely missed by the shooting community. My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to his family, business staff and friends.
This is incredibly sad news. Dennis made me a stock that I will now cherish even more. Prayers for the family.
Saddened to see this, I had the chance to speak to Dennis at the Cardinal this year, very knowledgeable individual, may he rest in peace and prayers for his family and friends....

Yesterday morning my cell phone rang and the name came up as Dennis DeVault. I paused before answering hoping that the news I had already received about Dennis' passing had somehow been incorrect. Sadly it was not my friend Dennis on the other end of the call, it was one of the guys in his shop. They called to let me know that they would be working on a stock of mine that day. I told them not to worry about my stock and to focus on taking care of Cindy. He said there wasn't anything they could do for her at that time so the crew is working, just like Dennis would have wanted them to. I asked about funeral arrangements and was told that per Dennis' request there would not be a service.
Yesterday morning I was having breakfast with an old time trapshooting friend of mine from the seventies. I informed him about Dennis. Needless to say we talked a lot about Dennis. RIP
Loosing Dennis is one more reason for us to visit old friends whenever they are in our area. Not shooting much any more, but that doesn't mean we have forgotten all of the fantastic friends we have made over the years. Terry, we certainly hope Judy can do a little traveling while you are in Florida...We do want to pay you a visit once again. Right now it's up to her Doctors and how she feels on any given day.
