The Tri-State shoot used to be in Steubenville, Ohio, Home Gun Club of 16 yd singles ATA shooter record holder, who would fly to 500 bird Marathons like Airport Gun Club in Lancaster, Ohio I know his name memory Lapse, Tony Olivetto, damn it's hell when you get old.

I won lot's of money during those early years there, Tony used to buy me a lot in those big Calcuttas Saturday night before the Sunday Shoot.
I do have this to say it was won mostly by an up coming short yardage shooter, even back then, I could place pretty often.

Do any of you remember TOOTS? That was Bobby Miczesoski, father, he set the targets and worked at Tri=State and was good friends with Tony Olivetto

There were some of the Largest Calcuttas ever shot in the Tri-Stae area, sometimes reaching over $2,000 hi gun payout. My good friend John Winget was their, along with Bobbie Miezoskie, I knopw I did not spell that right, gave it my best shot.

He shot more targets than anyone could have imagined. I remember the pictures of him in T&F and his annual totals, just mind boggling!

Bat, I think your thinking of Tony Olivetto. I do not remember Toots shooting a lot. Roger C.

Roger, yes I'm talking about Olivetto. That is the person the question was asked about, not Toots.

The back fence shooters had grass to stand on in a few places. That was better than having to stand on the skinniest most uneven walks I have seen. I remember $20k in the calcutta. Spectators were right behind you. Gambling parties all night. The place never shut down!

No big motorhomes. Real camping and sleeping in cars.

    Best venue ever!

The 27 yard line shooters were up against a Hedge, Kids would crawl under the Hedges, and reach out for the Empty Hulls to sell them, when you were shooting, I had them reach out between my legs many times during the Handicaps, snatching hulls.

How about standing on the 27yd line and have people sitting on the wall behind you. If they swung their legs they would hit you in the back. Shot many targets there and they were tough targets. You even heard them when they wispering .
Remember the ground hog that would sit up out in the field on , I think field 4 ? Roger C.
