U.S.Open 156 Shooters in the big singles event

I think they wanted more.

 

156 is down from 411. Gee, even with modern math that is down 63 percent.

 

Taking the decreases from the increases sooner or later 10 will be a great turn out and a lot easier to predict ... Can't imagine it could be worth while turning on the lights for that kind of turn out, let alone putting targets in the air and getting the place all spiffed up ... Nice thing about it is you won't have to sit around all day to get your targets in ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

Looks like the MD State shoot is about as large so maybe it wasn't such a great idea to go head to head with all that tremendous competition. The death knell is sounding!

 

Another great Gipson and EC decision. You have to laugh at the fantastic direction.

 

Heh look, these guys are getting some OJT. They're not used to making those tiny little decisions needed to run a successful shoot. Heck, someone has to line the trash barrels with plastic bags. Then there's that little thing called competition that'll always bite your butt in the month of June. Pity those few shooters who attended from distant states only to find out they would have been better off going to OH and a real Trapshoot. Chalk one for inexperience!

 

This proves one thing, the ATA is going to have a shoot and don't care who likes it, don't like it and or how much of the members money its going to cost ... There is a break even point attached to all business's and all involved, especially those in charge should know what that break even point is ... If there is no way for it to happen only fools would persevere and continue in that direction ... There is nothing posted with any information other than rumors and claims by a few that they are going to have a full house, this would be good cause for some concerns and suspicions ... The ATA is supposed to promote trapshooting, not keep it a deep dark secret from the membership ... Someone obviously told the talking head and his son to keep their mouths shut , which was no doubt a good move ... Oh, well I got some paint I have to go and watch dry ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

So this guy Gipson pushed to have the shoot at the same facility he has a business. ?????
