Note to Zone Directors Ohio

The zone shoot and elections are next week. Unless our OSTA officials intend to hide their record for the year it would be prudent to post all results from the meetings prior to the elections.

OH shooters, it is your responsibility to be informed.

 

The minutes of the OSTA meetings are typically posted on the OSTA's website. I've been off the Board for some time now so I really have no idea what it is you think the OSTA is trying to "hide" from you. The OSTA Directors are extremely easy to find at any shoot they attend because none of them run and hide from shooters, don't have any reason to. Perhaps you should put on your big boy pants and ask one of them a question, if you have one.

It is not about my big boy pants. They are yuuuge. I have lots of emails to my zone director. All answered. But in the interest of having an informed shooting population the minutes should be posted before the elections. As I remember they were in the past. They are not up this year.

We have had some site issues this year. If they cant get them up on the OSTA site we can post them here.

Many of the shooters in my area dont get out until the zone shoot. In a perfect world those minutes would be important to the shooters.

Those that care should not have to run around the state chasing directors to find out what was said in the minutes. jmho

 

Big year to review? I have a lot of questions for my state officials. What information have the delegates provided from any state?

Dear OSTA Delegates, Secretary, and President, please read my thread on Charlie Pidcock, a long past due OSTA HOF inductee and please make an extreme effort to get him Inducted this year.

Can the OSTA hold an open meeting at Buckeye Open in the Outdoor Food Area just West of the Central Entry Building?

I think an open meeting held by the OSTA President and all delegates in a question and answer forum, as well as new Ideas.

This allows time before the Ohio State Shoot information process

This years selections for the Hall of Fame have already been made (normally done by the end of the previous calendar year). If you have not already done so, please submit a formal nomination for Mr. Pidcock to the Hall of Fame. I can and will assist you with this if you would like. I like your idea of a "Town Hall" type of meeting at the Buckeye Classic! I will be sure to ask my Zone Director at the upcoming Zone Shoot this weekend if they would be willing to hold an open style of meeting for everyone.

I asked for and have received the minutes of the last couple of OSTA meetings. The OSTA Secretary was very kind and explained that the current OSTA website is completely outdated and she is no longer able to upload files to it. She can only manually type some of the information onto the site. The OSTA is in the process of setting up a new and modern webpage and it will hopefully be ready soon. I will start another thread and post the minutes from the January and February OSTA meetings. Hopefully the new thread will make it easier for users of ATS.com to find this information.

Don, first I would like to thank you for getting the minutes. I had been trying and was unsuccessful. Maybe if I were an ex OSTA President things would have been different.

As to why it was so important. The person elected in my zone discussed his goals and what he would be doing once in office. I pushed hard for him. He won by a vote.

Wouldn't you know it none of those things appeared in the minutes. None. As per the minutes none of the zone directors mentioned the subject in meetings.

My zone director did ask for a suggestion box. LOL

Had the minutes been published earlier, here, or on the OSTA site, Ohioans would have had time to nominate other zone directors.
